About Us

In the Beginning

From a small synagogue in Brooklyn in the winter of 1951, the Rebbe transformed a small Chassidic dynasty of 200 years into the largest Jewish outreach organization in the world.  Today, Chabad-Lubavitch has 3,500 centers across the globe.

Chabad is known for it's non-judgmental, all are welcome style, and making ancient, traditional & authentic Judaism accessible and meaningful, in a modern and fast-paced world.

Rabbi & Rebbetzin

Both of us were raised in San Diego and were beneficiaries of Chabad Shluchim in our youth and feel fortunate to be able to come back to our home turf to spread the light of Torah and Yiddishkeit.  Our three girls, Chanah'le, Moussia & Frumie were born in NY, while we were waiting for the right shlichus (mission) to come up.  Indeed, we were given a very special one, and this is where our three boys, Mendel, Levi & Shalom Ber, and next two daughters, Devorah Leah and Shaina, were born.  To see a video of Rabbi Abrams' father telling the amazing story of his birth, click here.  To hear him tell the story of they came to Temecula, click here.  To read his weekly blog, click here.

RABBI YITZI & DINA HURWITZ

Rabbi Yitzi & Dina founded Chabad of Temecula in 1999 becoming the pioneers of Judaism in SW Riverside County.  In 2013, Rabbi Yitzi was diagnosed with ALS and his family has relocated to Los Angeles.  Rabbi Yitzi continues to inspire thousands with his blog
